Since my hubby and I are thinking about buying a house in the Philippines, out of curiosity, I tried looking for homes for sale in the city near my village. I used Google and I found two houses that I really like. Both are too big for just me and my hubby. Both houses have swimming pools. One house is situated just five minutes to the downtown and ten minutes to the airport. The house is 250 sq meters with concrete fence, outside bar and dining-area, beautiful landscaping and a computer controlled crystal clear pool with waterfall and multicolored lights in the night. The house has five bedrooms, a big living and dining room, large kitchen, laundry room, dirty kitchen and double carport. My hubby and I called this house the red roof house and it was for sale for $151,162.00 USD. That includes appliances and furniture.
If we decide to buy the red roof house, we could also buy three adjoining apartments for a special bundled price. At the current exchange rates, the red roof house and three apartments would cost us $208,139.00 USD. The apartments would be a good source of income, especially since there is a newly constructed mall about a mile away.
The other house for sale is about twenty minutes from the city. The house is 492 sq meters. It is close to the beach and mountain falls. It has four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a small balcony. It has also a basement. The house has wooden and tiled flooring, air-con's in all rooms, cable TV and telephone points, three car garage, kidney shaped swimming pool and large garden area.
I like the second house more because it has a garden area but like what I have said, they both are too big for just me and my hubby. From a practical stand point, I would rather buy a two to three bedrooms house with no swimming pool because the maintenance is low. That way I don't have to hire people to do the cleaning for me.
